Summer slacking

Are we completing slacking off because it’s summer? We don’t want you to wonder if we aren’t posting because we are having too much fun and glad that Dad is spending some time not traveling. We want you to know that that is why.
We are also hoping that a lack of posting will make you want to come visit!
Here are a few shots from past weeks.

Hope you had a good Easter like we did! Uncle Matt, Aunt Jenn and Gabe are in town to celebrate!

The Easter Bunny came and we had a beautiful day in the sun!

Denver

We had a great weekend in Denver visiting Dad and meet our newest cousin, baby Eliot!

Here is cousin Oliver making our breakfast.

Here we are all in the car – sunny out there!

We also got to meet little Miss Vivienne:

Got some snow time in and some swim time. A great way to pass the weekend.

Mt Bachelor skiing

First skiing of the season and we are in Oregon at Mt bachelor. We rented a house in Bend – cousins Cody, Anthony and Katy flew up to join us without parents for the week! What an awesome treat for us.

Here are some views, some lifts, one of Annabel dragging another student around ski school and one of me totally exhausted.

While the cats are away

The last couple of days have been a lot of fun. Mom and Dad had a work conference in Santa Barbara. As you may know, there have been very few times in our lives that my parents have left town without us. Because they can’t stand to be away? Because we have crying fits when they leave? Nope. Because until now, we have never had anyone to stay with – we are so happy that Aunt Mamie moved to Seattle. I repeat- SO HAPPY!!!!! My parents are…well…a little…well, let’s just say we have a LOT of fun with Aunt Mamie! I also have to say that Grandma has also moved to town – well you know it rains a bit in Seattle – now “it’s raining family!!!!” can you imagine anything more amazing??? Maybe raining candy and toys?!?!
Well, THAT happened the first night with Aunt Mamie. We put our shoes on the door step for St. Nicholas and voila! (did I tell you I take french?)

Or raining cookies and sprinkles ?!?! That happened too- we made cookies last night (notice grandma’s beautiful kitchen!)

Imagine what would happened if you moved here too.

Thanks, Grandma and Mamie!

Throwback Thursday

Apparently, there is something going around the web called “Throwback Thursday.” While, I don’t know much about that – I figure I can recycle, I mean reshare, some cute old pictures you might not remember.

Like this one – my very first Christmas! ย One pic at grandma’s, the other at Abuela’s.

Or this one ย – a Christmas card out-take that didn’t make the cut:

Or this one – of me and the Atchity cousins two years ago:

And here’s one from last year with the Schusters:

Winter, the dolphin.

At the Clearwater Marine Aquarium , there lives a remarkable dolphin named Winter. Many of you may have seen the movie, Dolphin Tale (which by the way received an 83% on Uncle Matt’s tomatometer).

As one of my favorite movies, and one of my favorite dolphins, we had to take a little detour on our trip to Orlando to the gulf coast to visit Winter.

Winter lost her tail after getting caught in a crab net.

As she grew, she learned to swim without her normal tail – this put a strain on her back, so she received a prosthetic tail. Even so, her back has grown at a funny angle to compensate for her odd swimming.
